I've not taken my tablets for my underactive thyroid for about 2months. What happens if I carry on not taking them?

I expect eventually you will become quite ill. Why did you stop taking them ?
Hi Mica,
I see this is your first post so welcome to the forum.
Could you tell us a bit about yourself. How long have you been hypothyroid? And why have you decided to stop taking your meds?

Welcome to the forum, Mica_Edwards.
How much Levothyroxine were you prescribed, for how long, and why have you stopped taking it?
You may experience increasing weight gain, constipation, brain fog, loss of concentration, hair loss, musculoskeletal pain, fatigue and sensitivity/intolerance to cold.
Have you noticed any changes so far? When I lowered my levothyroxine dose I began to feel miserable after a few weeks. Your body needs enough thyroxine to maintain normal function. What made you stop taking your tablets?
is it possible the thyroid might start working properly without the medication?
My thyroid was underactive, probably still is, who knows. I stopped all refined sugars, bread, coffee, caffeine etc, I started feeling better. My eyebrows are still missing a little but I feel pretty good. I also got some cannabis, extracted the oil, placed it on my neck, while eating a little (Indica). The sleeping patterns are better, I go to the toilet easily a few times in the morning, I sometimes wake wanting to poop, so good sign. Exercise is hard, but just pull your arse out of bed, hit 20 mins jogging, then light weights, followed by some food. No gluten, caffeine. Have some Ganja in the house, when you can't sleep, just vap and snooze.. Take care
