I've been on cyclizine for over 4 years but my Endo consultant wants me to stop taking it. Has anyone have experience of doing this? I want to know what the withdrawal effects might be. Thank you.

Cyclizine withdrawal
Could you explain why you were prescribed it - and would you be OK without it ?
I had Cushings Syndrome, had tumor/left adrenal gland removed 2011. I was very sick going through cortisol withdrawal/adjusting a replacement hydrocortisone dose because my right adrenal was asleep. I'd had terrible fatigue as one of the symptoms and thought it would go after a time, but it hasn't, I still have it everyday. Since the op, I've become Hypothyroid, suffered severe anaemia, and now the Menopause is here! all of which could be the cause, but tests say they no longer can be. So, now taking Cyclizine is the latest possible reason and I've been asked to start cutting down; I just wanted to know if anyone has done this and what I can expect.
Oh dear - you seem to be a very special case Perhaps that is why you have not had more responses. Will it be more difficult for you if you start to cut it down ? I believe it is an anti-histamine type medication. Am so sorry I cannot be more helpful. Do hope you soon feel better.....
Thank you
Cyclizine is an anti-sickness med and they maybe want to reduce dose to see if you still need the amount that you are taking. Hopefully you will be good with less or even none.

Yes, that's why. Was hoping to hear other people's experiences. Thank you for replying.
