Cysts and nodes

Me again!

I had a throat scan yesterday and I have 2 cysts on the right and a node on the right. The doctor said they were about the size of a finger nail. This would explain the uncomfortable sensation in my throat!

Are cysts and nodes indicative of Hashimoto's?

Didcot, thyroid cysts and nodules aren't indicative of Hashimoto's although it is possible to have Hashi's and cysts and nodules. A thyroid peroxidase antibody blood test determines whether hypothyroidism is caused by autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's).

I had a huge cyst about 12 cms and it was pressing inwards. Had a FNA and the fluid was tested, that was ok and the cyst didn't refill.
