If you find a source to buy borax from I'd be interested. I'm certain the EU has banned it. I tried to buy it some time ago but I can't remember why I wanted it. I got nowhere.

Well, I did Google it when I read that, and found several sources, but haven't tried them yet. I'll let you know how I get on. :)

Be careful that you aren't buying something that is actually "Borax substitute" - that was the stuff I kept finding wherever I looked :

You first, goosie. When the letter carrier jumps you some early morning, let me know, eh? LOL! I think I'll pass on this rejuvenation possibility.

Oh, I definately might try it. I'll keep you posted. But Don't hold your breath.

Oh, and if I do try it, it might be me jumping the letter carrier! hehehe

Heeheeheehee! OG! Set up the CCTV okay? Heehee! I'm about to fall out of my hammock. Oh dear god...... Goosie darling, I can't stop laughing. The visuals. The visuals! Those fluffy slippers of yours. The flying fluffy bathrobe. Oh!!!

Goosie, you are a dangerous woman!

Hmmm. I use Borax to kill ants in the porch and in the washing machine. I get it from Amazon (don't forget that this gives money to TUK). The seller I used last is Intralabs - Borax Powder (Decahydrate). I'm not sure I'd want to eat it - makes you throw up.

Angel_of_the_North, is Borax an effective ant killer? How did you use it as an ant bait pls?

Angel_of_the_North profile image

Nothing is a really effective ant killer. I think ants will take over the world! But it is fairly effective and less toxic to pets than other pesticides. Mix with a bit of icing sugar and sprinkle - just like ordinary ant killer

Available on Ebay UK too.

But I have to admit I chickened out of taking it - you need such a small amount! And its another complication to have a bottle of diluted borax and take a teaspoonful. I just buy the tablets from H&B. In comparison to some of the other stuff its dirt cheap. The its just another (tiny) tablet in the handful of tabs in my pill sorter.

Its sad, isn't it, but I find that just the rigmarole of all the supplements is really more than my brain can cope with. I can take a handful of pills(that I sort out once a week), but the addition of a tsp of CLO, and 1.5 tsp of wholefood vitamin C is often skimped on.

I take the tablets, too. lol

Goosey, be careful. In excess its poisonous.

Like so many things. I take 3 mg Boron Chelate most days - not every day because routine becomes sooooo boring - because it's another of the things that work with vit D3 and magnesium.

Hmmm, yes. But be wary of synthetic D3 - its another cause of copper dysregulation. CLO is better (but I forget it because its yet another thing to do!)

I think I've got enough copper at the moment because l don't feel so well when l take it. It feels like l lose all the benifits of taking zinc when l take copper.
