hi: hi - Thyroid UK
hi
I doubt you will get many responses if that's all you want to say.
Sure you are recovered?
Hi AR. Thank you for making yourself known. It's very difficult to make that first post, isn't it. What to say?!? But a little information would be welcome. Either here or on your profile. I confess, I chickened out on that one, and didn't introduce myself properly - or at all, really... (But I've been here for a long time, now, so perhpas they've forgiven me.)
Do you have a thyroid problem? Being addicted to alcohol - or anything else - can often be due to low thyroid. We seek something - anything - to make us feel better. For me it was cigarettes - 25 a day every day, usually, but when very stressed, could be more. But now I'm well treated for my thyroid, I Don't feel the need for cigarettes anymore (although I do still enjoy a naughty puff at social gatherings where other people smoke!).
So, let's get to know you better? Are you a lady or a gentleman? A chick or a cat??? lol (Take no notice of me, I'm just having a silly half hour!). Tell us all about your thyroid and what's being done for it - and what's not!
Hugs, Grey
