Could you clarify what you mean by bio-identical supplements? Are you meaning thyroid hormones? And what, in your view, is required for something to be bio-identical?

As far as I know bioidentical hormones (estradiol, estriol, and progesterone) are only used for menopausal treatment. They come in the form of pill, cream, gel or patch.

I guess the equivalent thyroid form would be NDT but it is obviously a totally different product so not really a similar comparison.

All the t3 and t4 meds are bio identical..that's why you can monitor them with labs. If they weren't bio-identical, you would not be able to get a lab reading.
