Very very frightening! Having worked in a University department every permanent member of staff did research funded by drug companies and results published have been earlier aired at the symposium. No research is wasted, it either proves something, it disproves something or it is inconclusive. No verdict is a waste of time as a lot of research must go up blind alleys along the way. but it all goes to form an overall picture. From my late husband' experience he worked with others around the world and was invited to speak at forums with many question and answer sessions so that ideas are pooled and moved forward so I find this very disturbing.
