Margo,

Chris Exley, professor of bioinorganic chemistry at Keele University, thinks it 'unlikely' that lithium will be added to water supplies soon. But he says that such low amounts are unlikely to cause harm or make any difference to mood anyway.

Why do it then? Oh right, it's for our own good, will take the heat off GP practices and in the future some Government can up the population's happiness quotient and chemically cosh them into zombiedom if they get uppity and start revolting. Best of all they can target dose at specific postcodes/areas of the country. I think George Orwell may have missed a trick.

I agree with you Clutter, this insidious meddling with our food by the powers that be. But of course it is all for our benefit, how lucky are we. The trouble is with the rise and rise of ignorance (don't get me started on education), there will be people out there who will think it a jolly good idea and bring it on. It is truly frightening what some of the 'experts/proffessors think will be good for us.

I digress was reading this morning on Dr. Mercola's site that MacDonalds in America, their chips are full of additives yet they are just sunflower oil and potatoes in the UK, but for how long I wonder? Whatever happens over there comes here.

Was reading about the Common Purpose this morning the answers are all there, they want us to be drones, so we can be controlled. Have you read anything on CP, good idea to have a look?

Thank goodness for the internet, and this site.

Margo, I like real proper chips, preferably cooked in lard, not fried extruded mash fries. I don't like the idea of additives to 'improve' food. Too much chopping and changing minds about what is good and bad vis-a-vis the u-turn on butter, cream etc.

I haven't read CP but I do think a submissive drone population is most politicians' idea of heaven on earth.

If you've a sec could you pop onto Pettals thread and give her MP's tel no. please. healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...

I've just Googled CP. I think there are dozens of those quasi secret outfits grooming puppets to achieve leadership and world domination with themselves ultimately pulling the strings. I'll be very cross if they stop me getting T3 and won't be mollified by Lithium pouring out of my taps ;)

Turning off the wifi which alters the shape of everyone's blood cells whether they can feel it or not, disrupts thyroid hormone production, seratonin and melatonin production and alters sleep patterns would do a great deal. After asbestos and tobacco, the great wifi scandal is about to break. Look at the evidence. justproveit.net. And switch yours off when you're not using it.

The fluoride in our water is the waste product from making aluminium so I wonder if lithium is a waste from some other industry?
