Hi storm, I think this man spells it out really well.

Thank you, but this is no help, I can't sleep, I spend my nights twisting and turning.
Vit D was low so started taking supplements, which has got that to a good level.
i need something to assist me with sleep first, without interruption.
and I take a B complex supplement
Some things that have helped me to sleep, although I've never found anything which is terribly reliable - I have high cortisol too, and insomnia is the bane of my life.
5-HTP : en.wikipedia.org/wiki/5-Hyd...
This is available over the counter or online without a prescription. I take 50mg each evening, about an hour before bed.
Magnesium : I take 300mg magnesium citrate each evening, but there are other compounds of magnesium which help too. Avoid magnesium oxide because very little is absorbed. My dose is not particularly high, I know some people take more. Magnesium compounds are generally easily purchased over the counter or online.
Melatonin : en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melat...
This is only available on prescription in the UK. However, it is not illegal, and it can be bought online and imported very easily. It is available in doses from 1mg up to 10mg per pill. Since it is a hormone the body produces in tiny quantities, my feeling is that low doses are best.
Are they going to test to find out WHY your Cortisol is too high..because that is really important. What are the ranges? Was this blood, urine ?
Faith63
it was a urine test, i don't know exactly why its. but its uncommon with hypo
ranges
1 = 19.1
2 = 7.8
3 = 16.1
4 = 2.2
total 45.2 nmol/L
Hi storms - I see you had 24hr urine test done & seems to
list 4 results (similar to 24 hr saliva). Could you PM me
which lab did this test (if done privately). Need to get one
done myself. Thanks
QUE6T-33
hi I had those tests done my a private doc, Dr chapman from a Hendon.
What hospital or Private lab did the urine test please ?
Was it The Doctors Laboratory ? Thanks. I've seen
Him too.
how did you find Dr chapman?
Slow going ! How about you ? Was
Genova Test expensive ?
What level if a Thyroid meds are you
taking ?
I am currently taking t3, but that has run out, so I may go back to t4 for now
Dr. chapman doesn't seem keen on
T3 only meds I found. What dose
are you on & do you feel ok on it ?
I'm on NDT & T3 but believe my
dose is just too low.
yh I am not under Dr Chapman, he put me on Nutri Thyroid and I did not think it worked for me. t3 50mg
its ok but its early days and now its finished Im actually gonna try another one of the combi, Thyroisd to see how it goes
I want to have test could you send me the detail of the Dr and the place in Hebron I live just around the corner.
I feel my Dr r not doing anything or basically ignoring me and if I am having problems I like to act on it sooner before it damages you.
Help me too in providing the info. I live around the corner of hendon
I find holy basil very helpful, and seriphos too.
