Thyroid blood test

Nothing jumps or right away except your TSH is above 1. If you are on Thyroid medication, you may not feel properly well until your TSH is below 0.5. There is certainly room for an increase in dose.

It would be wise to get the tests done that Marz suggested in your previous post. If any of them are sub optimal your body may not be using your thyroid medication well enough.

Everything else looks OK so far. It would be interesting to see results of the tests Marz suggests if your doctor will do them.

Some people don't feel well until it goes below 0.5. I think it was Dr Toft that said it before he succumbed to the ways of the BTA.

I've been to my Drs this morning but I was told I have to see a Dr to have the blood tests that you and Mars suggested,which won't be till next Thursday.My question is will he be able to request them or will I have to wait until I see my Endocrinology Dr Which isn't untill next January.

Your GP will be able to request them - may need some firm and assertive handling from you. He may want to know why - well you just need more information to help you understand your health situation.... Can you take someone with you ? If all fails is there any chance you could have them done privately ? You will get a discount through Thyroid UK....

Yes Marz my husband always comes with me and he is much more persuasive than me .So I'll wait till I see my GP ,but in the meantime my husbands trying to get me an earlier appointment with my Endocologist.So we will see .I will keep in touch.Thank you
