I had a ton of blood tests yesterday because of hashimotos symtoms and diagnosis. 2 I have a question on are: Adrenocorticotrpic hormone level is 18... No normal range included. Vit D,25-oh, D2 <4

D3. 33

Total. 33

No normal range included.

Are these numbers ok? I have yet to talk to the endo as there are more test results coming. Thank you

Rbmagolf, vitD is optimal 75-200. Yours at 33 is possibly not quite deficient but is insufficient. If your endo doesn't prescribe you should supplement vitamin D3 softgel caps which need to be taken with food as fat aids absorption. 5,000iu for 6/8 weeks should rebuild your levels and thereafter 5,000 alternative days will maintain levels.

I'm not familiar with Adrenocorticotrpic hormone levels.

Could lack of sufficient vit D make you gain weight?

I don't know, Rbmagolf. I've not read anything to suggest it does.

Adrenocorticotropic hormone is usually referred to as ACTH.

... And that comment covers all I know about it, sorry!

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adren...

And I'm assuming that you must have had one of these done, to know what level yours is :

^^ That page does have some info on the interpretation of results.
