Had my regular blood test for Hypothyroid, on 7... - Thyroid UK
Had my regular blood test for Hypothyroid, on 75mcg Levothyroxine and all come back normal within range. All symptoms back though......
Get a print-out of your blood test results, with the ranges from the surgery and post them here for members to comment upon.
Many GP's believe keeping the patient 'within range' is right and ignore clinical symptoms. You still may be undermedicated. Some of us need more medication than others.
If you haven't had a blood test for Vitamin B12, Vit D, iron, ferritin and folate ask for these to be done too.
Did you take your medication before your blood test? Did you have it as early as possible in the morning?
I'm sorry you feel so ill.
You may be under medicated, failing to convert FT4 to FT3 well, vitamin deficient or all three.
Do as Shaws advises and we might be able to offer some help.
I agree with Clutter - the issue may be more than one of simply being undermedicated. We are all different and levothyroxine monotherapy is not the right answer for everyone. The problem is, getting budget driven medical experts to recognise this.
Good luck.
