I am on 75mg thyroxine but in the last 3 months have felt totally worn out and very tired all the time. Can a virus alter your readings ?

Hi,
You haven't given your history in your profile. When were you diagnosed as hypo and what dose are you on. Usually, you have a blood test every six weeks with an increase until you are on optimum medication, i.e. well. If clinical symptoms come back another blood test is due. Also, if you haven't had Vitamin B12, Vit D, iron, ferritin and folate tested ask for these as they are usually deficient.
Always get a copy of your thyroid gland blood test results with the ranges so that you can post here if you have a query and keep for your own records.
On the morning of your blood tests, you should take medication afterwards.
I am male agreed 59 and on T3 only. If I get a virus it throws my energy out for a few days before I am aware of the symptoms (e.g. a cold) and for a few days after. I have not anything long term so not like your 3 months. I have not had any readings while in the virus related 'low' state so cannot comment.
