had a nuclear scan 10/3/14 awaiting results. can anyone tell what the levels of calcium should be.

anyone who has had an op for removal of parathyroid gland feeling ok now. any weight gain due to this op or other symptoms being present

Hi first of all you should have had the results in 2 weeks. Phone the sec of the Dept at Hospital. You should before needing the test have had 3 tests done together A.M , very important. calcium. PTH, and vit D. Unless all over range or Ca and PTH and D high for you. Then there is no need for the nuclear test. Did you stop the thyroid treatment for 6weeks before the scan and not possible if on Amioderone.

My feeling is that you would have heard if a problem, but chase it. The OP very successful and a good outcome.
