I had a quick look, some comments were pretty offensive but, of course, they're ignorant of how the NHS works, or rather doesn't.

Can't remember my Guardian user name and password either!

I should have said in my post 'don't read the comments'! It was the comments in part that made me feel like some balance should be introduced with comments about hypothyroidism being 'disappeared' by the medical establishment.

Its because the NHS drum it in to 'health professionals' that its just a case of 'eat less and exercise more' when in reality this will never work!!

With these alarming statistics, the fact that one has be very ill and likely overweight before being treated for hypothyroidism, is pure madness and discrimination against women, as we are more likely to have the condition.
