What happens if you have a tumour in your piturity gland

Hi i was wondering about what happens after you have a tumour removed from your piturity gland would you need hormone treatment etc would the gland still work tidy once removed . Any info would be great not got one but my nan did some years ago and died from not being treated so am just doing this out if courosity.

Here is one explanation but your best bet, which is what I have just done, is google it and see what comes up.

I understand that you need several replacement hormonesas lifelong treatment after pituarity tumour removal


I have had a tumour removed from my piuitary and now take throxine for hypothyroid and desmopressin for diabetes insipidus. Treatment needed depends on damage to pituitary I know other people who need lots more medication than I do.
