75 mcg is not a big dose, but the most important thing is how you feel. Whatever the dose is, it needs to be right for you. That depends on how much your thyroid is still working, and can vary especially if you have autoimmune disease such as Hashimoto's.

The FT3 again is very variable because different people will convert the T4 at different rates. It is affected by other things such as iron levels and vitamin B12 levels, and the adrenal status. These have to be good to convert properly.

Some people find that the T4 is converted at a ratio of about 4:1 - in other words if the fT4 measures 20 pmol/l then the FT3 would be 5. Others convert at only 5:1 and when I had low adrenal function I was converting at about 5.5:1. So although my FT4 was high at 24.6 (range 12-22) my FT3 was only 4.5 in a range of 3.1- 6.8.

It would be good to get the T3 level if you can - and put them on here with the range if you can get it.
