Anyone else itching?

My friend and I are both on very different amounts of Levothyroxine (I'm on 178mg per day, she is on 100/125 alternately), but both of us are experiencing itchiness - mainly legs, but also hands, back etc. W've both recently had our levels tested, and have been told that everything is fine. Has the 'recipe' changed?

It could be something in the fillers/binders which is causing this.

I wonder if you could be allergic to one of those.

There is a suggestion in the following link re an anti-histamine - go the question dated September 6, 2001 it may be helpful and prove you have a reaction to the medication.

HI everyone`s body requires different doses of meds. If not yet right , that is a simple reason for the itching. However, it is common with thyroid problems. Also even more common with Diabetes, autoimmune and hormonal, so very similar symptoms to start with. Important to have annual checks for it if have thyroid problems.

I`ve had itcchiness for some years now, & thyroxine hasn`t helped. It`s caused by dry skin.
