Does Armour make you gain weight round middle?

Anyone had this problem? A lot of abdominal fat generally and def prone to pot belly most of life but I look absolutley pregnant at moment!! I have been on Armour for 6/8 weeks.

It shouldn't do unless you are sensitive to an ingredient in it. It may be that you are not yet on a high enough dose. What dose are you currently taking? What were you taking before you started Armour? Have you seen any change in any other symptoms? Do you also have recent blood test results?

Hi It should not do that, especially if started just on a low dose. I would have retests TSH, T4 and Free T3

. If not that, are you sure it is not fluid retention?, There several causes but usually a valve in the heart or kidney condition.Do not be fobbed off without diuretics without knowing the cause. Make sure you drink plenty, water best,and only have a little salt, to eat not cook with. Sodium level should be kept at bottom of range as causes fluid retention. This is called Ascites. be sure to ask for U`s and E`s, kidney function.

Have to say I think its the under active thyroid that makes you gain weight around your middle!! How is your appetite? I find that if I do not eat enough I gain weight!! Make sure you have at least three meals a day, when your body gets used to the idea that there is enough food around then you will probably start to lose the extra.

I too have the "pregnant" look & am totally NOT happy

Nothing fits! It has only been since I have had my thyroid removed & been taking pills

So far I have been reducing my calorie intake but haven't seen any reduction yet

Dr doesn't seem to care that I feel wrong about my body image
