That is usual for most surgeries, once the GP has checked the results and in your case seen you then you are entitled to a print out.

If it was a good surgery, like mine, the GP will have a quick look and the receptionist then let's me have them before my appt. It is normal for GP's always check first but your issue seems to be that they are not checking until your appt.

You are entitled to your blood test results. Seeing you have been diagnosed and treated since January and had a blood test a few months ago, there is no reason for not getting them. Was the Receptionist the one who decided?

The GP should have seen them already.

Make a new appointment with your GP to confirm that each time you have a blood test you can have a copy.

My GP has been very good with test results, even posting them to me free of charge when I write requests to them. The only time I had trouble was when one of the idiot doctors at my practice got a bit huffy over me wanting a printout of normal results - but it's for my own reference so what's the problem?

The others are right, you are entitled to your results - and if they ask what you them for, explain that they are for your own reference. I've only ever been asked that at my previous GP practice. The receptionists at the one I go to now are as good as gold and hardly question it. :)

Good luck
