After 4 visits to the doctors I finally got a blood test done. T4 14 (12-22) TFT 5.09 (0.2-4.) The doc is going to up my levo to 50mg a day

Hi, You should have bloods done every 6 weeks until stable.If you still feel ill after the increase, be sure to have a Free T3 test too. T4 is best in top third of range, only and some T3 too, that often needs to be high i range, never over. That lowers the TSH and helps the weight.

This is my first test since June, 6 weeks after being on 25mg levo. Went to drs coz feeling bad again and they just wanted to up my anti ds. Dr said to be re-tested in 3month

Hi, If you still feel "off" after 6 weeks, go back and ask ,it should only be increased slowly.If GP will not retest then, use Blue Horizon,on line.Quote tuk 10 for discount,main site,venous or finger prick.\Do not go though a private hospital, then £60-£70 for the 3 bloods. Well known Lab, so a Doc will accept them.

It does often take a year or so.
