Fatigue: Diagnosed hypo in feb this year now on... - Thyroid UK
Fatigue
I think you need to post your results please. Many reasons you might be feeling as you do. Most people feel well when their results are in the higher range. These blood tests are only a guide though. Also, do you have any other underlying health conditions?
...we really need your blood test results with ranges. Is your T4 converting into the ACTIVE T3 ? How is your B12/Iron/Ferritin/Folate/VitD levels ? Low Iron and B12 could be the cause of your fatigue and brain fog....Best to read up as much as possible on the main Thyroid UK website and then you will know more than your Doc !
When you say your results are within the normal range - whereabouts in the ranges ? FT4 and FT3 need to be towards the top and TSH 1 or below for most people to feel well. All the vitamins/minerals need to be near the top for optimal health. B12 works at a cellular level so the blood test is only a guide - you can't overdose on it....
There are some excellent videos about B12 - everyone should view them.....sorry am not good at posting links ! Have a google and see what happens....
T4, T3, B12, Ferritin, and Vit D results are needed...
If these are normal, then Thyroid Antibodies...
Have they done a Short Synacthin test on you? If not - get one done.
If so and it was deemed "normal" then try taking the 24hr Adrenal salivary test from Genova Diagnostics.
