My baseline cortisol was 682, stimulating up to 972.
I can't find anything about ranges.
I have hypothyroidism and asked to have my adrenals checked.

That's because the NHS has no ranges!
I wasted 2 days off work having a long synacthen test. It was absolutely gruelling. When i saw my endo i asked for a print out of the results. Guess what - no ranges. He said my result was normal but i know i have adrenal fatigue - all the classic symptoms and v low morning cortisol. I even wrote to him later about the 'no range' farce and he confirmed there are no ranges
I would say to anyone, don't waste your time on this NHS cop out as your results will always be normal! Which is what the nhs wants them to be.
Hi,
I've no idea about ranges but mine was supposedly normal and my peak was lower than your baseline.
Hope it helps
I think they just look at how much it rises with artificial stimulation. All it does is show that the adrenals work when stimulated and rules out Addison's disease which is adrenal failure. It doesn't show what's going on day to day/hour by hour.
Thanks for the help. I read the 24 hour salivary cortisol test is the best one.
