Hi All, I'm thinking about purchasing T3. Can anyone advise as to the benefits of taking it please?

If you have reason to believe that you are not converting T4 into T3 then that would probably be the most common reason for opting for it.

It is faster acting than T4.

Hi Louise

I posted my blood test results a few days ago on this site the doctor says they are normal but I still feel terrible.

Would I take only the T3 or as a combination?

There are no doctors (that I'm aware of) on this site, Its a support group, where we can offer each other support and advice as to what questions you should be asking your medical professional. No-one here can tell you what type of therapy to take or the dosage you should be taking. Thyroid meds should always be taken under the supervision of a qualified medical professional.

There are several of us on here who do buy and take our own meds, but we all take responsibility for our own actions.

Hi Often the things like Armour are better, T4 and T3. However, if taking any T3, start it slowly.potent drug. Also make sure you have a blood test before starting it, TSH, T4 and Free T3 to show if you need it. Then another repeat after 6 weeks to check the levels.best under a good Endo if possible
