I know that if you are hypothyroid your kidney function is reduced. If your thyroid function improves your kidney function improves. Iron is also very important for kidney function (and thyroid function) and ferritin should be 70-100. Dont think migrains have anything to do with GFR (kidney drainage). It has to be quite low for you to have symptoms. mine was 30 (normal is about 90)and I had no symptoms(noticed that I was hypothyroid).

Hi too much fluid in the body such as Oedema or Ascites can effect Kidney especially Potassium , Diabetes and thyroid blood tests.
