Yes. And the other way. And several times.

It appears to be reasonably common for Hashimoto's sufferers to have periods of relatively high thyroid hormone levels before the thyroid deteriorates to the point where they no longer can occur.

It is not at all unusual in Hashis as the antibodies vary. If you are on thyroxine and the antibodies suddenly reduce, you can become overmedicated. There is variation in the antibodies which causes hypo and hyper swings:

Many Hashis sufferers start off hyper as the antibodies damage the thyroid and the hormones are released suddenly into the blood stream, then later become hypo.

So if your over medicated you may become overactive rather than underactive i wasnt told that at doctors

I do not like the term "overactive" applied to being over-medicated. Certainly it goes in the direction of having hyperthyroid symptoms - but the word "overactive" seems to me to suggest that the thyroid itself is over-active and therefore producing too much thyroid hormone.

You can also go overactive after losing a lot of weight - this happened to me a couple of years ago when I went on a very low calorie diet and lost something like 6 stone in 6 months and ended up hyper, until my doctor reduced the amount of thyroxine.
