Just gone up to 75 mcr of Levo but husky voice....Normal?

Underactive Thyroid and have just gone up from 50 to 75 of Levothyroxine,only been on it a week but i feel more awake and a noticeable husky voice,is this normal?

My voice still gets husky once in a while which for me seems I am low in hormone. Perhaps your new dose will help that.

Hi My voice is so bad that no one can hear me, as I am quite deaf too, communications are a night mare.About 10 year ago it started , I developed a swollen gland and nodules. This is common with Hashi and Graves, It is important to ask for an ultra sound of the thyroid if this persists. If nodules found, common, but still important to have a biopsy of the nodules , fine needle, by a radiologist under ultra sound.

Hi Jackie, I haven't been on the site for a while and am just trawling backwards. you mention your bad voice did you have graves and did you by any chance have radio active iodine (RAI). I ask because I developed a problem with my voice about 6 months after RAI

Hi No to both, However had Hashimoto for 50 years, untreated the first 20. All got very bad about 10 years ago, when because of the symptoms I had a scan, enlarged and nodules. Any autoimmune thyroid disease it is common.
