I see one at Spire Bristol, it's private so not cheap but so far she is very good. I am seeing her for Vit D deficiency but she checks everything. She does want thyroid levels in range which is fine for me but maybe not for people who like theirs out of range.

I also see an endo at the spire in Bristol. He is supervising me on NDT and is happy for me to have a suppressed TSH. He won't treat anyone with results in range though. He does see nhs patients at south mead but won't treat with NDT. Xx

I have seen an NHS Endo at Salisbury but he will only prescribe a maximum of 60mcg T3.

I was thinking of getting referred there- though worried when their site said Endocrinolgy was the 'study of Diabetes'...What's new!

If 20ug T3 is an option there, that's worth knowing , as I find 25ug T4 enough of a problem as it is so may only need small dosages.

Well aware that this may be conversion issue though - & why I look further ahead. Blood test early Sept.

tegz - I got lucky and saw the top man who's an Endo following a recommendation on here as he is specifically open to patients using T3.

I do hope that your blood tests shed some light for you. Let me know if you need a name.

Hi there - I would love to know who your top endo is? Does he prescribe NDT and T3 and will he work with you collaboratively - ie where you discuss your dosage and try things together - or does he just go on blood results? I am transitioning from T3 only to NDT and T3 and at some point want to find an endo who will prescribe me NDT on NHS and be as helpful as possible in working with me to keep as healthy as I can - I am 4 years post RAI for Graves and struggling. Would be interested to know if he's across the need for iron and other supplementation to be in the right ranges for conversion and thyroid to be optimal?
