Just been docs to find out my tsh3 and 4 is high they want to reduce thyroxine but I feel fine wot to do anyone
What are the results and ranges?
You don't have to accept a drop in meds - a change has to be AGREED with your GP, who will try to scare you with talk of osteoporosis and heart attacks. Whether that is likely depends on the actual results. I'm sure someone can post the extract from Dr Toft's book that says that TSH may have to be suppressed and T4 at the top of, or slightly over, the range for the patient to feel well.
Hi! I'm having the same problem. T4 31 T3 12. I'm not over medicated i think in my case because i have low cortisol the thyroid meds are pooling in my blood. These tests just tell you what's in the blood at that moment, not what's getting into your cells.
I am not sure if you mean that your T3 and 4 are high, do you have your actual results with the ranges? If you feel fine, then it seems that the doctor is just going by the TSH, If so, then he has no good reason to change your dosage.
Can you put your actual results on here with the ranges? What the GP considers high may well not be for you, especially if you feel fine, but the actual figures will help you to get better advice and support.
