I have noticed this too regarding tiredness , feeling cold, achy muscles and headaches. I think it is either down to the shift in hormones or the fact that your body has to work harder and thus this puts even more strain on the thyroid. Bit crappy isnt it! :-)

Your thyroid, adrenals and sex hormones are all interlinked and a disturbance or shift in hormone levels is likely to cause issues. In the run up to my period I am the she devil.... Not pretty :)

Hi Try taking the following each day for a week before you are due: -

Iron Tablets, Vitamin B6, Evening Primrose Oil, plenty vegetables and 5 - 6 glasses of water. Follow the instruction on each label.

Your body needs extra support during this time and it maybe you are draining your body of the essentials. It's also beneficial to eat lighter meals and cut out such things as chips, pastries, cakes and biscuits. Try eating only brown bread during these times. These type of foods make people constipated which also leads to tiredness and possibly period cramps. People should open their bowels everyday and without discomfort or pain, if not it's most likely your daily food intake is unbalanced and healthier meals should be something to aim for.

Give my tips a go and see if it helps you.

I've noticed the biggest problem with mine was heart (flutter in chest and neck) palpitations and hot flashes mostly in my face..it most definitely makes for a scare until it levels out...I pray at some point we all have at least a good day every now and again...good luck..
