Hello, I had my thyroid gland removed 21 years ago and take Levo 5 x 100 & 2 x 0.75. I would like to take NDT but cannot afford the prices and the sources seem to be unstable. I was reading some aricles from Dr Childs an American who takes a great interest in thyroid problems (although he is not a practicing dr nowadays)He sells lots of vitamins most of which I could not afford, however one which interested me was a glandular formula derived from cows. I have always worried that people without a thyroid gland no longer have T1 & T2. May be is it not vital to have these hormones but maybe after being without them for 21 years it is! Does any one know of this gentleman and also can I get T1 & T2 in anything other than NDT.

Try posting in Thyroid uk instead but you tried to post in thyroid cancer support and didn’t get an answer: this group is bad for leaving people with no response sorry… I don’t have the knowledge to answer your question
I read his articles and I looked at his supplements it seems some have iodine in them and from my reads iodine isn’t something people with thyroid problems should be taking.
