I hope you are all having ok and enjoying the lovely sunshine, if you’ve got it there. It does make you feel better ☺️
Just wondering if you can relate to my dilemma. I think I am developing a food phobia. I feel nauseous most of the time & the thought of eating just makes me very anxious 😫
Best wishes Ally

My opinion is that it probably makes perfect sense not to desire, and to be a bit grossed-out by food if you're feeling nauseous all the time. To feel anxious about eating it also probably makes sense as the body (if nauseous) is maybe trying to let you know that would be a bit of overload for a queasy tummy?
The more important question is what is causing the nausea?
Do you have IBS C or D? Sometimes being a bit constipated can cause a nauseous feeling. Also, having a raging flare up of diarrhoea can cause nausea but that usually passes when the flare up eases. Or is the nausea created by something else?
And the next question is does anything make you feel any better? Such as herbal teas, ginger , fizzy water, or whatever?
Sometimes even low blood glucose can make someone feel a bit queasy and perhaps dizzy too. And eating a little bit can stop the "hunger nausea", so long as it's something very light and a small amount to start with, and something you like. Whatever you choose, add a little sprinkle of salt.
Yes, the weather is quite lovely right now, and rather Spring-like isn't it? Daffodils are just beginning to show their sunny faces!
Thanks for your reply. I am usually constipated & have to take laxatives. My stomach is constantly in discomfort. I do have diverticulosis, which doesn’t help. Nothing really helps & docs really don’t seem to help much. I will take your tips on board.
I would say that if you can gently manage to keep your bowels moving, your nausea might get a bit better -enough to at least feel like eating something light and nutritious. Vegetable soups and stews, with maybe a little bit of buttered toast, or some chicken broth, or something light, like poached eggs on toast, are easy to digest foods for the more rough times.
