Tight belt.

Every time I see a doc I mention this tight belt pain. Sometimes a sharp pain sometimes a dull ache. They blame my IBS and say its bloating. I'm OK above and below the waist its NOT like bloating. It drives me MAD . Could it be my BAM or acid reflux?? They don't want to know.

Ask to be referred to a gastroenterologist like Luna_Child says your gut could be telling you something is wrong. Do you have a gallbladder?

Yes I have a gall bladder. A scan didn't show anything wrong with it.

A scan never showed anything wrong with mine apart from some gall stones. But pain continued I was sent for a MRCP which only images the pancreas, ducts, and gallbladder , liver This showed my gallbladder was badly inflamed and I had a cyst on the gallbladder. I had my gallbladder removed nearly 3 years ago now and I have been fine since. I get occasional acid reflux if I go potty with over eating fatty food. Dr. Prescribed famotidine to take 1 at night as and when needed. I hope this is some help for you.

Thanks for your reply . What does an MRCP involve.? No nasty drinks I hope. Cos last scan I had, the drink gave me the runs, so getting home was NOT easy. Sorry to be dim but what does the CP stand for?

No drinks at all. It's in the MRI scanner, your head is outside. They put something on your stomach so the scanner scans that part only..if you look up MRCP nhs it will explain to you. Let us know how you get on please.

I had a CT scan back in 2020 they found nothing so it remains a mystery.

Iv had this on and off for about 10 years. The doc says if it was serious it would have been obvious by now. Anyway I am seeing a different doc next week

Thank you for your reply. I do have BAM but never made the connection. No doctors ever told me that could be the cause either.
