Thank you for the information.
I am sorry you are suffering with this too. It is a very difficult condition to manage and I understand what you are saying. We just have to do the best we can. xx
So, are you still taking Colospa? So sorry to hear you are experiencing constipation after taking it. It is an anti-spasmodic and some side effects include skin rash or difficult breathing. Glad you didn't have that.
I know what you mean. It is a fine balance between getting IBS-D and going too far the other way, and it turning to bouts of IBS-C. Sometimes I get a mild version of the same problem, and have to use suppositories for a couple of days, when thankfully, it resolves.
I also have to balance my diet carefully. Very carefully, and really listen to my body and how it's reacting to certain things.
To keep as steady as possible, it's like a balancing act !
I have had a lot of help from homeopathy. I see a qualified practitioner monthly. I am not 'cured' 100%, but over 2 years I have had great improvement, and do get long periods of almost-normality.
I know that in India, homeopathy is used with great respect. It is not often thought of as very helpful in the West, or is ignored, but I can vouch for it helping me to about 70% so far. I am not your age but am heading for 70.
Have you thought of trying it?
