No IBS but Fever cold laid me out. Hence my absence

Sorry I have not been active awhile, after missing colds since 2019, I went out to two large supermarkets once, both times with mask. Two days later, woke up feeling dodgy by 7am I felt shivery and started to feel hot. Wife gave me our last covid test 2hich returned negative.... both our digital thermometers started bleeping red with a temp of 99.9%f. I spoke to doctor, waste of space. Got some mucas relief blah blah parecetmol. I had a little man with a Hammer in my head. Pains in my jaw and ears, and an old gum abscess decided to join in. Luckily my temp went down in 28 hours, but left with bad mouth, dark furry tongue. Lost appetite and slept hours at a time. Now 2 weeks later still don't feel quite right, niggley caugh and phlem In mornings. Didn't eat much so stomach has been sort of quite, it's really been horrible when it just refuses to call it a day and leave me alone. I will try catch up with your posts ASAP. stay safe and Wear mask in places in close proximity to other people. Regards mike

Oh dear you have been through the mill. I hope you soon feel better. Any chance of asking for a second opinion from another GP?
