Well, my GP gave me Daktacort and said to take it for three weeks. I am a bit concerned because apparently, you should stop after one week. Mmmm...the infection has disappeared...how confusing..not sure what to do with that one, to be honest. Should I tell him it has fled again?
I guess if it keeps coming back I know it is connected to something else. They haven't investigated...just said infection from eating.

Isn't angular chelitis cracks and splits at the corners of the mouth? I am sure that is directly connected with B vitamin deficiency...maybe folate? I'll have to check to be 100% certain. Have you done any B vit supplementation?
Well, I don't know of course. Maybe it is an infection as your Doctor thinks. But it might not do any harm to top up with B vitamins. They are water soluble, so what you don't need will be peed out. Check that, see if it makes any sense to you and run it past your Doc. of course.
IBS can mean we don't get enough vitamins and minerals sometimes because of diet restrictions or not being able to absorb enough, etc.
Not always no. But sometimes if the gut isn't working quite right or transit is too fast, there might be some malabsorption perhaps. I take a multivitamin and mineral complex every day, and a low dose B complex, and try and eat as many nutritious foods as I can.
That's another thing. Especially during flares when we can't eat lots of veggies, fruits or other foods we can sometimes not be getting enough nutrition via food.
There might be some exceptions but generally doctors are not trained about nutrition and some of them haven't a clue. A dietician ought to know.
yeah, that is the truth. I like my doctor in that he put up with me going a bit bonkers and showing up to an appointment with nothing wrong with me and reassured me anyway...but he probably doesn't know much about food.
