How long can I take Mebeverine for I get nervous taking it longer than 1 week

Don't worry - you can take it as long as you like I think. I've been taking Buscopan which is similar, for years.

I am on my 5th year of taking the capsule form before that was on the tablet form, the former is better and I take as and when needed.

I have been taking Mebeverine for many years, I only take it when I need it - so some days I might need the full doseage in a day and other days I may not need any but I have not had any bad effects and its the only thing that seems to help

My GP indicated I could take it indefinitely, However, I only ever take it for 7-10 days, when desperate.

Hi don't worry I have been taking Mebeverine for years with no ill effects - just not sure that it does any good but am reluctant to stop in case it's doing a little good

I took mebeverine one tablet after meals twice daily for two months and it made such a difference it worked well for me I got much better was slowly weaned off it . It really helped me . Sometimes you have to take a drug to get better it is soo worth it.
