It’s so reassuring to have this site .In away it’s quite weird that we are all talking about our bowel problems quite openly.But it helps such a lot.

I’m not having a good day today so it’s great that I can sit and hear stories about exactly how I am feeling.Because sometimes I feel that no one can possibly be going through this nightmare.

I look at people on the street and everyone looks so normal to me ,where I feel anything but.And I think why me?

But this site lets me know that I am not alone.

Good morning BlueDevon,I am so sorry you are having a bad day. I know only too well how overwhelming things can get when you are feeling poorly. I too have looked at others and thought ‘why me’. I am sorry for the day you had, here’s hoping your feeling a little better.

People hide their personal issues and I am confident some of the very people you see on the street are actually in the same boat as us.

In life I do everything I can to mask mine, it is only on here I can open up. However, many suffer in silence that do not use this site, or any other.

That to me is a tragedy, the more people come out the more governments can do to help prevent it, education, health etc. IBS is such a broad area society, education, and healthcare all have a part to play.
