Sad to see so many posts this morning with people suffering with so many symptoms and wretched problems that spoils our life. As noted to you all recently extreme heat wrecks IBS sufferers normally manageable problems. To be honest as well as being a climatologist and amateur Met, While governments refuse to take drastic action to curtail our warming world, it's going to cause a pandemic of gastrointestinal symptoms and diseases like diverticulitis which I have. Did you know Asian and countries who eat more plant based food, have very rare cases of this. Diverticular, is a symptom of western living and factory made rubbish that is nothing like my mother served up fresh cooked in the sixties. Muck like KFC and McDonald's are not only promoting gastrointestinal problems for teens later in life, they also are responsible for most of the Amazon rainforest destruction to plant soya and livestock farms. Pharmaceutical companies are making billions out of supposed effective remedies, when in fact its just like putting a plaster over the problem. So while heat waves get more normal, the pressure increases on struggling medical services already still battling covid 19 which has exhabrated peoples health both mentally and physically. Will humanity ever learn from past mistakes and wrong desions. Xxx

A lot of posts since UK heatwave
nowadays I don't bother with mc Donald's or fast food joints and I feel covid did me a favour as now we prepare most of our food from scratch so who needs them when you can cook for yourself and that's here to stay.
I'm looking forward to waving bye bye to the heatwave this evening as yesterday and Wednesday it was way too hot for me and yesterday I stayed home as I wasn't well but I feel better today as its cooler.
Hi cat girl, yep the heat has bought on my usual popping discomfort spasms in my tummy. Wife says I'm ready to drop the baby!!! Even making me a bit nausus so had to take omeprozele as I have a hiatus hernia. Strange I can eat a fresh cooked takeaway curry with boiled rice and some prawn crackers, but proccesed curry's from supermarkets I avoid like plague, as they contain far to many additives as long as your arm.
Yes my IBS and also my asthma have been flaring up a lot since the start of this heatwave
