Try to release emotion find someone with whom you can have a good cry. This used to work for me when zi had a good psychotherapist, and an IBS attack actually went away. but she retired snd with my current one i seem unable to do this. So I’m in the same boat as you. Tried everything. Sometimes a beer makes me feel a bit better.
Bloating can be a symptom of so many problems. Do you have any other symptoms? Have you had any other tests?
Hi. I to have suffered for years. I am not cured but no what triggers my bloating and pain to the point were it has consumed my life. I have a lactous intolerance. So milk from cow's. A part from the obvious it also includes Cakes Chocolate pasta pastries. I have spoken with a number of my family and friends who have suffered and have been really surprised to how many of them suffer at varying degrees with IBS. A number of them have withdrawn from consuming milk and products with it in and they to now have some control over their symptoms.I have become a vegan as this has really helped me. I truly believe most people from Asian and African backgrounds should avoid milk.
It sounds like intolerances, have you gone back to basics eating just plain rice for three days see if it helps? If it does add one food for three days see if it is still good then add something else, if once you add something you feel ill stop that item for three days before trying something else and write down what affects you. One of the worst things for me is drinking tap water, it affects me terribly, I have not been able to have cows milk for 30 years so use soya, no alliums at all they bloat you as do ant food with a husk like baked beans peas ect
I’ve been where you are right now on a couple of occasions and it’s hell. Please call your doctors and ask for an emergency appointment. I ended up calling my GP last August in floods of tears voicing how I was feeling due to my symptoms (painful IBS d with very little warning left me too scared to leave home) and she referred me for cbt therapy and arranged a prescription of Amitriptyline (it’s meant to help with IBS d). The counseling and medication definitely helped, though I’m currently going through a flare up as I’ve a fair bit of stress in my life right now so have had days where I feel like you.
if you are suicidal please call the emergency services right now. Then try to be kinder to yourself. You will fix this in time. This is a Uk charity but perhaps some info based on latest science can help ... gutscharity.org.uk/
Hello, we all feel for you, as many of us have felt the same way, you will definitely find a way to ease your symptoms I promise ♥️ the posts above are so very helpful x
Oh goodness, thats sounds awful. Have you tried Floradix intestcare? I was reluctant to try this but it really has been extremely helpful for my IBS, I was reading the reviews and people with IBS said it was a god send and I agree
Wonderwall3 do a search on "Thiamine Deficiency - A Potential Cause of SIBO and other Gut Dysfunction?" I encourage you to see how it applies to IBS-C. You can further discuss your findings with your health care professional.
Need to add this link to go with the SIBO article I referenced. Also, do a search on other health conditions in your family with thiamine. My wife has a non IBS health condition yet thiamine deficiency is the common denominator. Turns out unless thiamine is activated by adequate magnesium it, like vitamin D, does not become bioactive. Always consult your health care professional before using any supplement.
This is very interesting, as I suffer from fibromyalgia as well as IBS-C and reflux......when I get into bed at night, I can feel palpitations, which are probably from my vagus nerve voicing its unhappiness! Thank you. I will research.
I had something very similar to you. After various tests by my gastroenterologist nothing was found to be wrong with me. What worked for me in the end was a combination of regular colonic irrigation, the probiotic sacrimites boulardii and Dr Morses gut renew herbs. I have to be careful with my diet still but the awful 24/7 bloating has gone.
I empathise. Please don't give up hope. Please talk to someone and let them know how you are feeling.Samaritans - 116 123 and Calm are on 0800 58 58 58.
