Senna tea

I've been constipated for much of my adult life. But fell into a pattern of a few times a week. When I have a poop on my own they are small hard movements. A friend told me to try senna tea. If I drink it at night by morning I can go, however this first poop comes out long and thin. Anyone else experience thin stools after a laxative? Within a couple of days I'm back to small hard round ones. This seems to only happen after tea.

It's probably overflow. The soft stuff pushing past the hard stuff!

I have this too the long and thin poops nothing to worry about it’s the hard poop that causes problems perhaps you need a stool softener like laxido x

The thin stools are caused by narrowing of colon due to the stimulus of laxative . My stools are thin , as well, is caused by use of Miralax in effort to stimulate bowel activity . I am repeating info received from physician assistant. Every doctor to whom I have given the question of thin stools literally ignores my concern. Also, via a pa l learned that green stool was caused by gluten intolerance. I discontinued gluten consumption and sure enough my stool returned to normal coloring,. something else every dr asked , ignored my concern. Let’s face it doctors have very little understanding of digestive problems.
