Alflorex is a pro-biotic it works by producing good bacteria in your gut thereby reducing IBS-D symptoms
Hi LeoShaun I tried it for IBSD oh my goodness did it make me poorly! I was ok for the first few days and then the horrible stomach cramping started and then dreadful runs. I did push through it for 4 weeks, but I was just getting worse. The Alflorex team were really supportive and helpful, but I could not take anymore. Prior to this I used Acidophilus and I had a couple of days of side effects, but nothing like Alflorex. It does work for some people, but sadly not for me. I'm sticking with Mebeverine and Entersol gel. Good luck xx
I use Alflorex daily. It has regulated me and I no longer get D. There are lots of different probiotics out there. This is just one of the many allegedly seen to be good for IBS.
Alflorex is a probiotic that have been scientifically studied for IBS. The idea is that is meant to help kick into touch any bad bugs that might be too dominant in your gut causing symptoms and helps to bring things back in balance. I have tried lots of probiotics over the years but this one has been a game changer for me. I am now far more tolerant to a wider variety of foods. It is well worth a couple or month or more trial of it to see if it works for you. In some people it may take a little time and there made be initial side effects. For me, my IBS pain was gone in a week with no side effects. I was over the moon!
If you want to try it the Company have a good starter programme on their website Precisionbiotics.com
