Tummy troubles.

This post isn't for me it's for my 4 year old daughter.

We seem to go through this every few weeks. She'll have regular bowel movements for a few days and all is fine. Then it stops. And she doesn't go for days on end. I'm sure it's more in the mind then anything else but I'm looking for suggestions.

She has stopped going again, it's been over a week now. And nothing. Been using lactulose daily maintenance and nothing has helped so far. She has a very varied diet with fruit and veg etc.

Being a weekend doctors are closed, so won't be able to see one til tomorrow. Any advice for now would be greatly appreciated though.

What makes you think it's a problem, does she get any other symptoms if she doesn't have a bowel movement for a while or are you just worried she will get ill? And have you asked your doctor about it when it happened before?

Don’t panic. This may be the way her body wants to behave. But have her checked out by a medic all the same.
