I think this is also known as pregabalin. My consultant recommended this and my gp called me yesterday. He said you have to go on it slowly and come off it slowly as it is addictive and he couldn’t see what it would do! So I didn’t bother. At a loss.

Lyrica is an antidepressant. I think off label it is used for IBS. I use Amitriptiline and it seems to help. I also take Zoloft.

Lyrica is anti anxiety and anti convulsant not an antidepressant but is often used for neuropathic pain like that experienced by diabetics.

I took pregabalin for about ten years for pudendal neuropathy. It did take the edge off the pain but after about four years stopped working. I asked to be taken off it several times but was advised Not to stop

The positive was that I had wonderful dreams every night.

The negative was that it killed all my sexual feelings. This did not bother me much as I did not have a romantic partner at the time. It may be different for you.

You may be married or wanting children so be careful.

Of course, keep in mind that all medicines can have different effects on people

Prevailing is now a controlled drug. I was put on it in 2017 for anxiety. It took a long time and a lot of determination to get off it. Only managed it about August. Had to do it very gradually
