Not sure what happened to it .

I’ve got a small hiatus hernia, plus constant nausea, acid taste in my mouth, chest pain that sometimes feels like a heart attack symptoms . And dry heaving. Jus wondered if anyone else has these symptoms with a hernia .

I had bowel surgery about 7 months ago and it started up after that. But not sure how long I’ve had the hernia . Would like to hear from others . Whether the hiatus gives so much trouble .

I have a small one too, I don’t know if it’s the cause though but every now and then I feel as if nothing is going down or being digested.

I take an omeprazole for 2 or 3 days and it settles down again. I don’t like taking anything unnatural really but I told the doc that and he said to just take it when I needed to, so that suits me very well.

I’m also hypothyroid so one medication a day is quite enough thank you. Lol

Omeprazole hasn’t worked for me , couple of hours after taking it I feel worst , so don’t know why . Tried others just the same . I’m just taking gaviscon advanced now as and when but it only works for a few hours. Got some tests at the end of the month . 24 hr impedance test. And oesophageal manometry. . Then a gastric emptying test later.
