My Cure That has work so far for me.

I first posted in around new year because I was so frustrated with my health problems. In and out of hospital with this IBS and hip problems and lower back pain. Over the past 25 - 30 years I have had hospital stays and operations to relieve a multitude of issues I believe have all been linked. It got to Christmas 2018 and I found I was becoming depressed with all the pains and even had a sever anxiety attack which was because of the pain. I could not walk or even stand up straight. On top of every thing I then find out that I have a prolapsed lower bowl.

I was at the end of my tether. I did something drastic I became a vegan on the 4th of January 2019. within 36 hours I could stand up straight. My lower back pain went. Its been there for 30 years. My hip pain eased and my IBS touch wood has ceased.

Coincidental or was my body just screaming at me. I have lost over a stone and a half in weight without really trying and I'm still loosing. I have since done some research on why I believe I have made and still making a significant recovery and I can only put it down to a meat and dairy free diet. There are many studies done by leading professionals around the world who strongly advise that afro Caribbean's should avoid dairy because of the lactose and our genetics not working together. In the past I was told I should not eat wheat and oats and certain grains but I have introduced these and I don't seem to have any negative reaction.

I just felt I needed to share this with IBS sufferers because from where I was and am today I am a completely different person. Although it hasn't even been a full month I really believe I've had to take the decision of becoming a vegan and hope to continue for the rest of life.

Food is an amazing healer when you know what your putting into your body. I have over the past few years lost members of my family with diabetes, bowl cancer, heart attacks, strokes and numerous other ailments that I am becoming more and more convinced have been because of us eating a western diet.

My plans for my future are know back on track and I hope I can update this post in the next coming months with more positive feeds.

That's wonderful. I have found red meat, salmon, and too much protein can affect uric acid levels in the blood giving rise to gout. A vegan diet must help some times of arthritis and back pain.

Wow... amazing...Well done..I agree with you on the Western diet. Struggle with digesting meats and reflux so going to give going vegan a go too.

Dairy very common. Lots of veg upset many ibs sufferers due to high roughage

Glad it's worked for you. Very important yo have protein in your diet as heart is a muscle n needs protein. Nuts alone not enough.vegan ok when your young but muscle wastes away after 65 unless exercised n fed protein. Fish is very good for you especially oily

That's exactly why I did a lot of research and was astounded to find that meat gives you a second hand protein and that the protein stored in meat actually comes from plants. Yes cows eat grass and get their protein from it. honestly do your own research its amazing what we don't know. The 2 important things that I watch for is B12 and Iodine but you can get this in a tablet form.
