Days like today just make me want to stay at home and not fight like hell to get out the house. I’m tired, sad, unmotivated, feeling dodgy but not really really ill. Does anyone else get this feeling or is it just me

All the time. But I put a lot of it down to the winter, somehow just tends to bring our mood down. Like you say no motivation, having to push yourself to do stuff. BUT I do find if I push myself, I do feel better for it.
Hi..I can very much relate. In bed sick with flu, so have nothing better to do except read articles on IBS, anxiety, depression, etc. Saw several articles that many of us lack magnesium which is excellent for many things, such as anxiety, depression, IBS-C, and insomnia. Magnesium Citrate capsules supplements or Magnesium Glycinate. So going to keep trying this, started trying before flu and it seemed my panic disorder and anxiety was greatly reduced and I felt a sense of well-being. With flu, I don't want to take it eat much..so stopped for a bit. I also read that ground flaxseed is another natural remedy for IBS-C, IBS-A and diarrhea (sorry for TMI). Also with its high content of omega 3's helps with joint pain, as well as depression and anxiety. I also get counseling to help me cope with living with Chronic constipation. Are you under the care of a gastroenterologist, or colon and rectal specialist? Have they helped you or prescribed medication? Are you diagnosed with IBS? Or had any testing done for SIBO, Candida, diverticulitis, food intolerance (gluten, wheat, soy, etc), gastritis? Dumping syndrome? I hope you get it all sorted out. I too am at my wits end with Chronic decades long IBS-C. I walk five days a week as I don't own a car..but getting outside or exercise does nothing For me, as it is too cold here in Ohio..and days are mostly cloudy. I feel we need a bit more help other than "pushing ourselves". For the shorter days..our bodies lack the full spectrum of sunlight. A Light Box good quality one has been helpful. It has the full spectrum of sunlight our bodies need in winter. I got mine online and it has helped tremendously for anxiety and depression with winter, lack of sunshine, and shorter days. I sit under it for 15 minutes a day. Also I take Carlson's Cod liver Oil. One of best out there..mercury free. Just one tbs in evening. Lemon flavored. No fish burps. It can keep in fridge for 90 days.
I’m prescribed mebeverine for ibs and Imodium but I have the stress related kind I’m not celiac or have any allergies. I’m on propranolol for anxiety and matazapine for ibs and anxiety I’m coming off that to go onto Promethazine
Hi I do feel sorry for you. Have you any friends that you can talk to? Life is a bitch sometimes. Good luck
I hear ya. I know that feeling very Well! If I feel even a slight movement in my stomach my entire mood drops and I feel depressed and anxious to leave the house. Even If I'm not having a flare up! My mind is so used to having a dodgy tum that I think every little moment in there means the worst! The only thing I've found that helped is my antidepressant mirtazapine which has constipation side effects so it slows it all down, aswell as lifts my mood at the same time. Going to do the fodmap diet next week for 4-6 weeks.
So sorry you're Going through this, you're not alone x
Hi Eliana, I think Eastbourne11 was actually replying to IBS_Problems.
Thank you. I misunderstood and deleted the post. My fever is pretty high right now, so not thinking clearly. I am thinking pneumonia. They turned our heat off here (well..to 68 degrees, I'm in my apartment shivering. Not allowed any kind of portable heaters, just electric blankets set to "low") due to lack of funding and we are all getting very sick.
Stay in bed and put lots of clothes on. Have hot drinks, they might help. Is there anyone there who is in charge in case you take a turn for the worse.
No..unfortunately not. Right now I have a small portable heater..but I have so many large Windows in my apartment, all the cold comes in..it is freezing. Also..I'm on the "end unit" so no insulation from other apartments..I get the wind, cold, snow..from both sides of my apartment. It is 15 below right now, and only going to get colder through the day, and expecting another weekend snow storm. Barely had sleep last night. Slept with gloves, coat and hat. Heater provided no relief. I don't think buying an electric blanket will even help. They are not going to do diddly, they could care less about is here/residents. We begged them to at least turn our "heat" to at least 70 or 72, but they said it not up to them..but the board of the building. All excuses. They said we are barely scraping by here and their heating bill was $3,000 last month. Yet they just got a huge grant and spent on 65 cameras we don't need. I don't know what I am going to do..can't seem to find relief and no hope in sight.
yup .. every day ..it sucks 😔😭
