Sorry but i need a rant.

I am so fed up with suffering from ibs. i got diagnosed with it about 15 years ago and have been suffering for longer. I am fed up with constant bloating. my clothes fit fisrt thing in the morning and by lunch time they are very uncomfortable. The bloating is so bad that i feel like i have put on about three stone in weight over night. My tummy is in constant pain. i use to have diahorra and couldn't leave the house. This went on for years. I still get epicodes now and then. Normally at the most inconvinet time. At the moment it is consipation.

I have been diagnosed with a hiatus hernia last year which explains why i suffer with heart burn most of the time.

I feel like i can't eat anything think. I don't smoke and don't drink acholo. I currently follow the low fodmap diet. I have suffered with piles for many years and continusly have bleeding.

I recently got signed off from seeing a gastrontrist. I was told i need to mange it with laxetives.

Nothing i seem to do makes any difference to my pain and discomfort.

I really need to find something as i cannot keep going on in pain and feeling so uncomfortable. This is no life for anyone.

I have been poorly on holiday and my ibs has ruined many occasions. I have missed out on a lot. This is ruining my life.

I have chronic constipation. I have been to private consultant and had the tests done. There are two new drugs that you can get on the NHS called Prucalopride and Linaclotide. They don't work like traditional laxatives, they work on the receptors in the stomach. They should give it to you if nothing else works. It is on the NICE guidelines and you should say this to your doctor. Linaclotide which I take now is amazing. Works within hours. It is not like Laxido or Movicol which does nothing for me and makes me bloated. What I also take in between is about 600 to 1000mg of magnesium citrate or oxide on an empty stomach before bed with lots of water. This works great, naturally and is effective. My colorectal consultant recommended it as well. Look up information on magnesium and constipation. If I don't take it I don't go.

There are other magnesium products for the colon that are excellent although more expensive but worth it. They are in order of my preference, Oxypowder, Aerobic Mag07 and Colosan. You can get them on Amazon or a place called the Finchley clinic. They are very helpful and you can call for advice. Hope this helps.

Another thing is that carbohydrates of any kind will make you feel bloated, as the high starch and carbohydrates cause gas. I no longer eat any starchy carbohydrates like bread, pasta, potatoes and rice and it has made a remarkable difference. I was always bloated, but no longer. I have a green smoothie first thing in the morning usually with spinach, blueberries and coconut or almond milk. This is a healthy start to the day without making me bloated. I then snack on nuts mid morning. Try cutting out some of the carbohydrates and you will feel much better. It has given me a flatter stomach and I feel overall so much better. I have suffered for years.
