I had a Colonoscopy last year and I'm pretty sure I could have had miso soup but you should have a diet sheet listing what foods you can eat before the procedure.

Ahi there thanks for reply .i did not have it just in case .my diet sheet seemed very very sparse indeed .i am now on liquid only but thank you very much for your reply .all NHS hospitals all have different diets .i must have the worst one lol .

You are welcome and best of luck for tomorrow. I have to say that I felt really well on the sparse diet before the procedure and really well after the procedure. I was even tempted just to eat the food they suggest for life but I certainly wouldn't have been that healthy lol

Hi there strange you should mention feeling well before as I did away with a lot of high fibre befor the diet and must admit I felt so much better than I have done for ages so could be a diet problem.i used to eat reasonably healthy .so will see what happens after tomorrow .my only concern is the rise in blood pressure taking the picolax .

I felt the best I had felt in a very long time. It does have a lot to do with our diets. I now can't eat raw carrots, raw or cooked onions and can eat very little fruit, a very small amount of broccoli. I was also drinking full fat milk for a brief period (it was lactose free though I have since found out after eliminating that from my diet for a couple of months that lactose doesn't affect me) and I have worked out that full fat milk and cheese as well makes me quite nauseous so I have to go for either skimmed or semi skimmed. I used to eat a lot more healthily but my condition isn't letting me eat like that anymore :(. I didn't seem to have a rise in blood pressure taking the Picolax though.

Hope all goes well tomorrow for you.
