Sitting on the toilet until my legs go numb.

I have suffered with ibs-c for many years and have managed my symptoms relatively well. A few months ago I caught a bug which caused weeks of constant diarrhoea, wind and nausea. I cut my diet down to bananas, bread, chicken and rice and took probiotics. My stools improved and I slowly reintroduced foods. I've avoided onions and garlic the whole time. This morning I've had diarrhoea again after weeks of normal ish bowel movements and I'm really frustrated. I ate nothing new over the last couple of days and am no more stressed than normal. I can't understand what may have caused this flare up. Sorry to be graphic but I sat on the loo until my legs went numb and still feel full. I now feel exhausted and nauseous. Does anyone one have any advise or similar experiences? I have started taking mebeverine for cramping and am hoping it may help as loperimide just makes me feel awful afterwards.

Any advise greatly received.
